The QPINOX consortium held their 4th face to face meeting by teleconference in November 2020.
Despite the ongoing pandemic the project has made great strides forwards.
In the last period the final 3 chemistries were selected and cast.
Experiments via Gleeble® have successfully achieved QP cycles at a small scale. Small scale tensile tests on such treated samples have shown remarkable mechanical properties.
In the next period the 3 chemistries will be produced as QP treated sheets i.e. on a pilot mill scale. These sheets will be used for studies of automotive application properties i.e. formability, welding etc.
